Blog Carnival

Blog Carnival: Write about the names of the Lord. Carnival hosted by my sister Chel. She also has a blog called the Abiding Branch.

is my siter chels blog

confused, shocked, worried

OK here goes and please keep in mind this is only an opinion and its my opinion as well. i just do not our people in our country would want to vote for someone who wants to kill babies. Doesn't that make them murderers? i believe that would should all have the right to make our own choices but i was taught that only
God had the right to decide whether a baby should live or not because he is the one who gives us our first breath of air. if he doesn't feel that baby should live than the woman would never had gotten pregnant nor carried it for 9 months unless God had a plan for that child. Can i get an Amen! I strongly believe that God has a plan for all of us no matter who we are, and what we may think, or how we may feel.

I'm am honestly scared to death to think what is going to happens to our once beautiful country now that a certain man is going to be president.

Gay marriages? what in the world is up with that? it states in the bible how wrong that is. I am assuming that people don't believe in the Word of God because it states it in the bible. I feel so sorry for those who don't listen to word of God b/c God is going to reak havoc on some people. Gesesh I'm scare for all the non-believers and Godless people, Antichrist whatever it might be. I am proud to be a christian in this world today and I'm glad to know i will not fear anything because God is my best friend and i know hes got my back, he and i will walk side by side for the rest of my life and i can honestly say if i died right now i know i am going to heaven, and that is something that I COULD USE TO NOT SAY.

i guess that is enough rantin and raving about politics today. hope you have a wonderful and blessed day

when you find yourself in a difficult season as we do at some point in life and fear decends upon you, God wants us to see him. God is always with us, even in the midst of our fiery trial. He knows what is happening and can walk with us through our circumstances from beginning to end in only ways he can. Our lord wants us to know that, at the oneset of any trial we may experience, he is always available to us.He wants us to see him at the beginning, not just at the end of a difficult season and when we look back and realise that he indeed has been there all along, even though we didnt know for ceretain that he was. God is always with us(deuteronomy 31:6), never leaving us, never forsaking us.

Sometimes we miss seeing him at the beginning because a crisis suddenly befalls us, sweeping away in a current of fear and overwheling thoughts. We are caught up in a storm that takes us by surprise and moves in so ever quickly upon us, that we forget there is a solid rock we can cling to.. Our heavenly Father wants us to find comfort and strength in knowing he is our Rescuer, Deliverer, and Refuge in life's storms.

"Do not fear, for i am with you; do not be afrid for i am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand"
Isaiah 41:10

heard this on the radio by paul harvey

A prayer by Billy Graham’s aired by Paul Harvey:

‘Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and
to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to
Those who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we have done. We
Have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have

Exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us
From every sin and Set us free. Amen!’

THE BREAD

"I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE", JESUS TOLD US. "NO ONE WHO COMES TO ME WILL EVER BE HUNGRY, AND AND NO ONE WHO BELIEVES IN ME WILL EVER BE THIRSTY AGAIN" (JOHN6:35)

Jesus should be the object of everything for which we hunger and thirst for. He is the manna the Father sent, the bread that satisfies our souls.
Yet today many believers seem so hungry and thirsty. Jesus often seems absent from their lives.

Just maybe they are hungry for the wrong kind of bread. Jesus says "no one who comes to me will ever be hungry." Many of us appeal to Jesus for the goods of this world, the fulfillment of our own agendas, or the circumstances we would like to have. To us, Jesus is a means to another end-our goals. If this is how you perceive then Jesus is never satisfying.

Perhaps we hunger for the right kind of bread but we don't meet Jesus' conditions for receiving it. Jesus says "no one who comes...no one who believes." Both of these conditions imply that we meet him on his terms, not ours. We try to come with part of ourselves, but not all. WE want the benefits of the Son of God without abandoning ourselves to him. If this is how we feel then Jesus is once again not satisfying to us either.

But to those of us who hunger and thirst for righteousness and come to him without reservations, trusting him as the source of all righteousness and strength, he satisfies. Those of us whose whole life is reoriented around him and who desire nothing else will never want for anything. He is not our means to get the bread; He is the bread.

When we follow him by faith with nothing else to rely on, he provides for us and then and only then we are filled and satisfied.
